FAQs
Q: Does muscle weigh more than fat??
A: No. A pound is a pound whether it’s fat or muscle. However, muscle IS in fact denser than fat and therefore takes up a smaller amount of space in the body.
Q: Do improvements in my physique require me to make MAJOR lifestyle changes?
A: No. Improvements in fitness can be achieved through small changes in what you eat and do. Everybody is different so don’t forget that the speed in which you make lifestyles changes is your choice. There’s nothing that says you can’t start out slowly and work your way up over time,
Q: Do I need lots of muscle to lose fat?
A: No, but it certainly helps to have some. Muscle requires more energy to operate than a body without it.
Q: I don’t sweat much when I exercise, but I work hard. Does this mean I’m not burning fat?
A: No, this is 100% FALSE. The amount you sweat is indicative of your body’s ability to maintain its normal body temperature. It doesn’t correlate to how much energy is being expended.
Q: I have diabetes, can I still work out hard and be on a diet?
A: Absolutely! Working out and building muscle improves ones overall health and fitness and that’s no different for type 1+2 diabetics. As long as you and your coach are mindful of your nutritional intake and required insulin/medication intake it shouldn’t be an issue at all.
Q: Am I too old to achieve the body I want?
A: Absolutely not! Working out and building muscle improves ones overall health and fitness and that’s no different for type 1+2 diabetics. As long as you and your coach are mindful of your nutritional intake and required insulin/medication intake it shouldn’t be an issue at all.
Q: Will lifting weights make me look “BULKY”?
A: No. This is a myth that can sadly deter women from strength training, when in fact, that same strength training is responsible for building most physiques they aspire to mirror.
Q: I don’t attend a regular gym, will your nutrition plans still be effective?
A: Absolutely . Each one of my custom nutrition plans is design with your needs, goals and timeframes in mind. They’re individually altered to help any and all clients reach their goals.
